Try to have no big meals 90 mins beforehand as it can be uncomfortable to breathe with a full stomach.
Make sure to prepare a comfortable area to lay down on (i.e a mat or blanket on the floor).
Have a pillow or bolster available for under the knees and a warm blanket close as your body temperature may fluctuate.
Join the call with headphones if you can to improve sound quality.
Wear an eye mask or be in a darkened room
This is a 60 minute event, this includes introductions, instructions, breathwork, meditation and some time to share at the event.
While I always recommend coming live as it just changes the whole experience - there is still just as much benefit doing the replay! So if you can’t make it on the day/time then register anyway and you will receive the replay after the event.
Yes! This event is open to all experience levels and you will be instructed on exactly how to use the breath technique and more through the journey.
The breath technique we will be using is referred to as circular breathing, it is safe for the general population however if you have experienced any of the following contraindications then this breath technique may not appropriate for you, if you are unsure please email caitlin@completebycaitlin.com
Heart disease & stroke. Epilepsy, Detached Retina (Retinal detachment separates the retinal cells from the layer of blood vessels that provides oxygen and nourishment). History of strokes or seizures, Aneurysm or family history of aneurysm. (Burst blood vessels in the brain), Blood thinning medication. (Unfortunately, the blood thinners used to prevent such blood clots can increase the risk of bleeding in the brain, a cause of hemorrhagic stroke). Pregnancy or possible pregnancy, Asthma, Substance dependence & addiction, Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or psychosis, Hospitalisation for emotional crises in the last 10 years (Participant must get therapist’s approval to participate before you register). Psychological conditions and diagnoses, which preclude safe emotional release.
There is a wide range of experiences that can happen during a breathwork journey - some people have big emotional releases, some spend the journey in a euphoric state. The best thing is to leave your expectations and just come in with an open mind and an intention to surrender.
On a physical level you may experience tingling, or tightness in your body.
